Hey, how's it going?
Where I live, it's starting to get quite cold, so I'm very thankful to have a heated house with my cat, Fish, to snuggle with :cat2:  and keep me warm. I hope you are all staying warm and safe during this flu season as well!

It's also quite easy to get overwhelmed with all the online content when it comes to learning new skills as a software developer. There is just * so much * to see, read and watch, and it can become challenging separating high-quality content from the rest. So, here it is, an awesome list with a few of my top recommendations of books to help you become a better software developer:

Books:

  • Think Like a Programmer: An Introduction to Creative Problem Solving
  • Clean Code: A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship
  • Grokking Algorithms: An Illustrated Guide for Programmers and Other Curious People

Now, if you are looking for the perfect read (full of resources) to guide you every step of the way on how to get your first job as a developer, I highly recommend you checking out my book "Learn to Code. Get a Job: The Ultimate Guide to Learning and Getting Hired as a Developer" :) Plus, you can always reach out and talk about it afterwards! It's available online worldwide and printed.

This week, I'll be streaming this Thursday at 9 am(edt). Stop by my Twitch channel then and let's get to coding!

Here's a quick announcement as well: I really enjoy making content and streaming, but I also have a full-time job and other obligations, so I'm trying to balance my schedule. I have a couple big projects that I'm working on right now that will be out over the next 4 months; some videos, a course (can't wait to share it with you all!)... I will try to stream as much as I can, but my priority is on finishing up those projects, and I hope to stream more regularly next year :) So here's a reminder if you're reading this: never forget to take care of yourself first, burning out is the real deal, and we should always keep our balances in check.

Hope you guys have a good week!
