Hi guys, welcome to February! How are you doing?

Thank you to all those who joined me last week on our Twitch stream, you can still watch and follow our Python project on Creating Schema & Data for API here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1286564500

Since some of you guys have been reaching out to me about * this upcoming topic *, I thought this would be the perfect time to introduce you guys to some resources on Blockchain!

Let's start with the basics: what exactly is blockchain? According to IBM, Blockchain is defined as a shared, immutable ledger that facilitates the process of recording transactions and tracking assets in a business network. When it comes to its system, Blockchain records information in a certain way that makes it nearly impossible for others to manipulate and hack the system. You can learn more about what exactly blockchain development is in this video with senior dev Daniel Lomelino: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LDbWnUbrxv0

A couple of months ago, I also created the ultimate free guide that will take you through the basics of blockchain development (including tons of resources). I * highly * recommend checking this out! I have included a whole list of courses, YouTube channels, books and projects that will guide you through your blockchain journey: https://gwenfaraday.com/how-to-learn-blockchain-development-resources-guide/

You can also check out my older blockchain guide that I wrote for FreeCodeCamp: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/the-resources-i-used-to-teach-myself-blockchain-development-1fccada9b92b/

By the way, I am giving a blockchain talk at the Python Web Conference in less than two months. Here is the website in case you want to come and listen to me speak: https://2022.pythonwebconf.com/speakers/gwendolyn-faraday. If you attend, message me and we can chat over their Zoom or Slack rooms!

Let me know what you think!
